History of the Breed: The Boston Terrier was developed in Boston in the late 19th century. It originated from the crossing of the English
Bulldog and the White English Terrier.
General Appearance: A smooth coated compactly built terrier that has a unique short head with a short muzzle, large round dark eyes,
and erect ears with a short tail. The Boston Terrier has a pleasant refined personality and since its coat resembles formal wear he is commonly
referred to as the "American Gentleman."
