History of the Breed: The ancestors of the Clumber likely date back to the fourteenth century. In the late 18th century
(French revolution), the French Duc de Noailles presented a kennel of Spaniels to the second Duke of Newcastle, whose Notinghamshire country
place was called Clumber Park. It is believed that the Clumber Spaniel originated at Clumber Park.
General Appearance: This breed has a massive head with a square muzzle and well defined stop looking more hound-like than Spaniel.
The body is long and low-set, big boned, and appears longer than it is. The coat is dense and flat and the tail is carried down. The color
is white with pale orange or lemon markings.

Coat: Dense, straight, flat, soft to the touch and weather resistant. The long Spaniel ears are slightly feathered with straight hair.
The Clumber has moderate feathering on the both legs and belly and good neck frill.
